About
Lisianski Inlet Lodge. The Corbin Family has owned this homestead for
over 30 years. Originally built by a commercial
fisherman in the 1940's, most likely in the hopes of attracting a wife.
He felled trees in the nearby woods and got them ready for construction.
Finally came the time to build and the most important part of his plan.
He managed to acquire a large quantity of moonshine and invited the entire
town of Pelican out to his homestead. They had a big party and when it
was all over a massive log cabin stood in a clearing in the forest.
The Corbin's raised their family here in the true American frontier tradition.
Lisianski Inlet Lodge is now operated by Denny Corbin and his wife Jana.
They will show you great fishing and authentic Alaskan hospitality.
Coming to the lodge is like having a friend with a private fishing resort.
With a maximum limit of 8 guests, chances are your group will have the
entire lodge to yourselves.
Unconnected to any road, the only access is by boat. Power comes from a
diesel generator and water comes from a pure mountain spring behind the
house. Because of the remotness of the lodge you may see deer, bald eagles
or possibly a bear ambling through the property while from the comfort
of this well-appointed log cabin.

What
our customers say:
Our trip to your lodge
in the Lisianski Inlet this August, 2003, was our 2nd time to fish with
Denny Corbin and enjoy the Corbin family hospitality. The meals were
wonderful, utilizing fresh, local seafood as well as berries and other
food from the surrounding land. The fishing was great. Denny seems to
know just where to find what we wanted to catch or see, or photograph.
Members of our family fulfilled their goals of fishing successfully,
seeing specific wildlife, and picking and eating wild berries.
We enjoyed new and different
experiences that we did not do the previous time. We brought home with
us, new memories,
delicious homemade jams, plenty of fish, great photographs and a
desire to return again to Pelican, Alaska.
